Construction on the new Shiner ISD campus continues on schedule. The rain earlier this month apparently had no effect on the progress. The school site as pictured above, shows the two-story elementary and high school classroom building to the left. The bottom level will house 20 elementary classrooms, boys and girls restrooms and a small office. The top level will house 14 junior high/high school classrooms, restrooms, two storage areas and a small office.

The middle section will house the elementary and high school science classrooms as well as the science labs, computer labs, library, teachers workroom, the nurses station, a reception area and offices for the elementary & high school principals and secretaries.

The large section on the right will house the cafeteria, kitchen, gym, restrooms, band hall, stage, building trades and ag classrooms and shop, weight room, boys' and girls' locker rooms, laundry areas, offices for the coaches and athletic director and storage space.

It is expected that Shiner ISD will be relocated to the new school site by the second semester of the 2006-2007 school year (January 2007).
