Shiner St. Paul seized control in the first quarter and topped Texas School for the Deaf 49-0 on Friday night.

Nathan Pilat began the scoring for St. Paul with a 52-yard punt return, and TJ Bell added a 17-yard touchdown run a minute and a half later for a 14-0 St. Paul lead.

St. Paul carried 33 times for 204 yards and was an efficient 4 for 4 through the air for 65 yards.

Bell finished with 73 rushing yards on 11 attempts.
