The St. Paul football team won its second straight game after dismantling Flatonia, 35-21, on the road on Friday ( September 9, 2016 ).

The Cardinals took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter with a 29-yard pass from Austin Barton to Ryan Bell and 47-yard run by Bell.

The Bulldogs scored late in the quarter on a 27-yard run by Lucas Herrera. St. Paul got a 27-yard touchdown run of its own by Conor Kresta with 7:58 left in the first half.

Flatonia came back with a 58-yard run by Herrera, and the Cardinals led 28-14 at halftime as Barton and Bell hooked up again, this time from 52 yards.

Midway through the third period, Kresta scored from 4 yards out and Flatonia got a touchdown from Corey Lyons on a 3-yard run.
