Cardinals knock off Flatonia for homecoming win

  SHINER — Shiner St. Paul (2-0) celebrated homecoming with a 35-8 win over Flatonia (1-1) on Friday night.
  
  The Cardinals led the way with 395 yards rushing, despite losing two fumbles and being penalized six times
  for 44 total yards. The defense held Flatonia to 181 yards on the ground and 15 passing yards.
  
  Leading the team in rushing was Conor Kresta who had 15 carries for 138 yards and two scores. River Haynes
  had 10 rushes for 107 yards and two scores. Joseph Natal had six rushes for 75 yards and a score. Tre’Zell
  Jenkins-Perry carried the ball six times for 37 yards while Kai Giese ran eight times for 30 yards.
  
  Shiner St. Paul host Austin Hyde Park (2-1) Friday ( September 22, 2017 ) with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
