Shiner Comanches at Schulenburg Shorthorns

Notes: Class 1A, Division I Shiner (1-1) and Class 2A, Division II Schulenburg (1-1) play for the eighth-straight year. Schulenburg holds a 5-2 edge during that span.
Schulenburg bounced back from a season-opening loss to College Station to beat Victoria St. Joseph.
Shiner opened with a win over Industrial before losing 39-0 to Hallettsville. Shiner was held scoreless for the first time since 2010 and fell from No. 6 to No. 16 in the state Class 1A poll.
Schulenburg's Ross Bludau has passed for 473 yards and three touchdowns, and Jeffrey Lara has an area-leading 13 receptions for 280 yards.
Shiner's Marcus Coleman, Jacob Stafford and Tyler Patek have combined to rush for 461 yards and five touchdowns.
