PLEASANTON -- The Comanches (11-1) continue their season for at least one more week after cruising to an easy victory in front of an estimated crowd of 2,000 Friday night.
Shiner advances to play No. 1 West Sabine at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rhodes Stadium in Katy.
The Comanches dominated the field with 294 rushing yards led by Chris Baer's 17 carries for 137 yards. Steven Evans carried the ball 13 times for 68 yards, and scored three touchdowns, including one TD receiving.
Quarterback Garet Pustka scored the other two Shiner touchdowns -- running for one and returning a punt 50 yards down the right side for the other. He finished with 34 rushing yards and 58 passing yards.
Ben Bolt (9-2) had big numbers passing, completing 11 of 26 passes for 250 yards. But the Badgers had just 36 yards rushing and only nine first downs.
The Badgers had nine penalties for 65 yards while Shiner tallied two for 15.
