SHINER - Bryan Franklin rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns pacing the Shiner Comanches to a 22-8 District 30-1A victory over the D'Hanis Cowboys. The Comanches improved to 4-2 on the season and 2-0 in district, while the Cowboys fell to 5-2, 1-1.
Franklin put the Comanches up for good in the first quarter, finding paydirt on runs of 5 and 9 yards. His first came at the 6:31 mark and the second following just 39 seconds later.
Franklin finished off the scoring in the second quarter when he bulled in from 3 yards out with 3:40 left.
D'Hanis avoided the shutout with Lance Rothe rambling 22 yards to the end zone with 8:02 to play.
